Description
Properties can affect many aspects of your uPerform project, and it is important to consider which properties you’ll need and how you’ll use them when you are configuring your uPerform Template. In this course, ANCILE’s Collaborators team will explain the various ways that properties are utilized in your project including reports, context-sensitive help, the creation of dynamic website folders, and more. You will also learn how to enable and disable properties in your template, how to create custom properties, how authors can enter property values in their documents, and how you can control which property values your authors can select to ensure consistency.
We are here today, all day, answering questions about managing properties in your uPerform templates. Feel free to post any questions you have in the comments!
Hi. If I add a property like a transaction code to a doc and check it into the server, do I need to republish it before I can search for it by transaction code? Thanks, Chad
Hi Chad,
Thank you for your question! After adding a property to a template, you do not need republish after checking it in, in order for it to take effect, for instance being able to search for it. I hope this sufficiently answers your question, and please let us know if you have any others.

Hi. I would like to know which Simulation > User Interface Settings property is used by the recorder for simulations screen captures: Screen or Maximum Screen Size? What happens if the Max screen size is different than the default 1024 x 768? Thank you.
Nevermind, wrong topic. I created a ticket for this question.
Hi Yvan,
- The recorder will capture screens at whatever size the authors desktop resolution is set to.
- The Maximum Screen Size setting determines what size those screenshots will be resized to. We recommend this be the same as the author's desktop resolution for optimum image quality.
- The Screen size determines what size the Simulation playback window will be. If you want to avoid user's having to scroll to see the entire screen, this should be slightly larger than the Maximum Screen Size.
Hope that helps!
